2024 OSCAR predictions – Film Business early predictions

The OSCAR shortlist annoucement is nearly upon us, and as tradition has it we are not shying away from sharing our Live Action Shortlist predictions. Here we go….

Knight of Fortune directed by Lasse Lyskjær Noer

The loss of a loved one, the grief, the risk of yellow skin, and a coffin, that is too much for Karl to face. 
Then it’s much easier to fix a broken lamp. Karl meets Torben – a destined brother. An absurd, humourous, and melodic meeting between two old men captured by grief.

Mukbanger directed by Hugo Becker

Mika is an influencer, working exclusively on making YouTube videos. With his ruthless partner, Yanis, he manages an account with more than 3 million subscribers with an average of 500,000 views per videos. His particularity: he is a Mukbanger. He makes videos where he ingests a maximum of food in a minimum of time. The more the consumption is pushed to the point of discomfort, the more the number of views increases, the more popular Mika is and the closer he gets to his dreams of glory and wealth. But Mika also suffers from morbid obesity. His sister Solène will do everything to persuade him to give up this practice which threatens his health.

Perspectives directed by Neer Shelter
