Directed by Saul Abraham & written by Callum Cameron, Enjoy is an offbeat exploration of masculinity, men’s mental health, and how societal stereotypes surrounding depression in men manifest themselves across different generations. This topical film will be world premiering at the Oscar-qualifying Tribeca Film Festival this month and will also be screening at the Oscar-qualifying Palm Springs International ShortFest.

Director Saul Abraham is a half Finnish, half British director and producer who works across drama, documentary and commercials. His last film Breaking (co directed with Josh feder) starred Antonia Thomas and Martin McCann and screened at London Short Film Festival and received a Special Jury Mention at Promofest. His documentary, Moses: Strongman, was one of the most watched pieces from Idris Elba’s BBC iPlayer takeover, leading him to be included in the BBC New Talent Hotlist. Saul co-runs Saul & Josh Studio in London.
Producers Nick Rowell & Gabriele Lo Giudice founded Pinzutu Films; their production company which aims to produce bold and daring stories. Their first short film Vert starring Nick Frost and Nikki Amuka-Bird, won a Special Jury Prize at SXSW.
Writer Callum Cameron is the co-founder and director of Fledgling Theatre. His plays include Neck or Nothing which was funded by Arts Council England and nominated for an Off West End Award, Celebrate which ran at the Vault Festival and was nominated for the 2020 Netflix TV Festival Stage to Screen Award and the Finborough Radius Playwriting Award and They Built It No One Came which was shortlisted for the Charlie Hartill Award.
Cinematographer Tasha Back’s recent credits include the Turner Prize Award-winning film The Destructors, BAFTA Cymru winning TV Drama and channel 4’s Adulting. She also DP’d the additional photography on the BAFTA nominated TV feature Sitting In Limbo, for BBC1 for director Stella Corradi. Tasha’s splinter and 2nd units credits include shooting for directors Danny Boyle, Yann Demange and most recently Dominic Cooke and DP Sean Bobbitt BSC on the cold-war thriller The Courier starring Benedict Cumberbatch. She has just finished shooting the opening episodes of Traces season 2 for Red Productions for Exec Producers Nicola Schindler and Michaela Faraday.
This star-studded cast includes Himesh Patel and Maddy Hill. Himesh Patel’s notable credits include Yesterday, Tenet and The Aeronauts. He is starring in Adam McKay’s upcoming film Don’t Look Up as well as HBO’s Station Eleven: both due to be released in 2021. Maddy Hill is well known for her current role as Nancy Carter in Eastenders as well as playing Ruby Sparks in BBC1 show Casualty. It is the first time Himesh and Maddy have worked together since their much loved on screen relationship (Nancy & Tamwar) in Eastenders.
Enjoy will be screening at Tribeca Film Festival from 9th June – 20th June. It will also be screening at Palm Springs International ShortFest from 22nd June – 28th June.
